I was born in Atlanta but raised in Miami. Growing up in the deep south as a black woman brought on many unique challenges.
One major challenge was the lack of exposure to opportunities in the tech and media fields. Attending an inner city, majority black school in Miami, Florida, career choices were extremely limited. And technology and media opportunities were close to none existent. Even though I graduated in the top 10% of my class, college and having a career in any field was never a thought in my immediate future due to lack of exposure.
So I created this nonprofit based on my experiences graduating from high school to exposed High School minority students to technology, the media industry, and MORE.
Plus, provide the communication and leadership skills, career education that will expand the students knowledge, career choices, and possibilities.
